Education

Tasks

  • Coordinate the flow of information within the team
  • Direct and control daily operations
  • Direct staff
  • Evaluate daily operations
  • Open and distribute mail and other materials
  • Plan and organize daily operations
  • Establish and implement policies and procedures
  • Manage contracts
  • Oversee the analysis of employee data and information
  • Answer electronic enquiries
  • Compile data, statistics and other information
  • Respond to employee questions and complaints
  • Order office supplies and maintain inventory
  • Arrange travel, related itineraries and make reservations
  • Conduct research
  • Perform data entry
  • Perform basic bookkeeping tasks
  • Conduct performance reviews
  • Supervise office and volunteer staff

  • Provides cultural competency training and/or awareness training to all employees to create a welcoming work environment for Indigenous workers

Supports for visible minorities

  • Applies hiring policies that discourage discrimination against members of visible minorities (for example: anonymizing the hiring process, etc.)
  • Offers mentorship programs that pair members of visible minorities with experienced employees
  • Provides diversity and cross-cultural training to create a welcoming work environment for members of visible minorities
