The typical salary range for this position is $54 500.00 - $81 700.00 annually. The base salary offered will be determined based on the candidate’s job-related knowledge, skills, education, experience, and internal equity considerations.
This is a temporary contract for 1 year
SUMMARY:
The process flow from final formulation to final product involves several steps, a significant percentage of which are the responsibility of this position. The product creation functions include developing, creating and critically reviewing packaging copies to verify all information is compliant with Metro standards and government regulations.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Track progress of pack copies through the development stage of corporate brand products.
- Follow up with vendors when they fail to meet specific timelines or when deviations to policy/regulation are identified.
- Create new/revised product pack copies which will be used by the design, packaging and regulatory departments to create packaging.
- Validate information provided by vendors against Metro & regulatory requirements.
- Liaise between Metro & vendors to verify all information is accurate and received in a timely manner.
- Support Quality Assurance Coordinator during vacation periods.
- Liaise with vendors to obtain kosher, halal and organic certificates and maintain databases with current information.
- Manage special regulatory projects as assigned by the Regulatory Manager, Regulatory Supervisor or Sr. Director, Quality Assurance & Regulatory Affairs.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s Degree or College Diploma in nutrition, food science or a related discipline
- 1-3 years of relevant work experience in a regulatory role
- Intermediate computer skills required, with an emphasis on Excel and Word
- Knowledge of SAP an asset
- Knowledge of relevant regulatory and legislative policies and procedures
- English/French Bilingual an asset
